Very enjoyable experience, learning some basics of watercolor. Loved that it was outdoors in a very serene environment. Instructor was attentive and open to questions. I plan to attend another class in the future.

Joy was delightful to learn from. She easily shared methods to learn about the brushes, paints, and strokes and we quickly learned how to create flowers, roses, trees, clouds and mountains. I would take another class with her again.

I loved our teacher Joy. Very encouraging and helpful. Loved painting outdoor but got really cold which interfere with me wanting to keep painting. The area where we painted was beautiful and calming. Loved that it was on a Sunday

I'm a beginner watercolor artist enjoying learning various techniques as I try to find my own style. I loved the challenge of these bricks, and learned a lot while completing this painting alongside a YouTube tutorial from "Paint with Shiba."

I had been painting for about 3 months, watching tutorials on uou tube, practicing different techniques. I was feeling confident. I had a blank sheet and some inspirational pictures around me and started to build a picture. Once the flow came it was like a wave, not stopping until I wad happy, finishing it off with the bee in the flower. I love bees. Felt overjoyed at my achievement in this piece.

Title or Location: Late Mornings Cafe
A Duplex owner decided to run a cafe in the CBD. It became very successful with people gathering all hours of the morning. I had an hour to wait for an appointment in town, so I sketched this on location. DS watercolour on 300gsm cotton.

I started painting during Covid, mostly flowers, and YouTube tutorials. Raised in Southern California, I have always loved the ocean and have, From the start tried, to tackle painting water and its reflections. Initially with no success. Persistence is the name of the game. I am quite pleased with this one!

Title or Location: View From Dugout Wells
Located in Big Bend Nat'l Park, TX., Dugout Wells has a working windmill, providing water to the small parcel of desert surrounding it. The view of the Chisos Mountain Range was spectacular on this cool windy morning. I have painted at this spot on several occasions. 10 x 14 watercolor.

Title or Location: Lunch Counter/ Madrid Spain
Went to Spain for 2 weeks a year ago. While thrilled to see the work of Velasquez, Goya, Microsoft and Picasso, it was a treat to be part of everyday life there. This was a scene I photographed at an enormous Farmers Market. The color of the bread caught my eye. Madrilenos have wine with lunch. So civilized.
